JTFMADAGASCAR & Terres en Mêlées Reforestation Day in Vohimary, Andiolava

A significant environmental initiative recently took place in Vohimary, in the commune of Andiolava, thanks to the joint commitment of JTF Madagascar and Terres en Mêlées. The main goal of this event was ambitious: to reforest an area of 3 hectares, contributing to the restoration of the local ecosystem

This event was made possible thanks to the active participation of children from the Rugby Academy Ihorombe, coming from the localities of Satrokala, Andiolava, and Ambatolahy, as well as the dedicated staff of JTF Madagascar. Together, they planted 3,650 young trees, mainly Acacias and Jackfruit trees, indigenous species known for their rapid growth and adaptation to the local climate.

These 3 hectares of reforested land represent a significant step toward a greener and more sustainable future for the region. The initiative by JTF Madagascar and Terres en Mêlées, by involving younger generations, highlights the importance of environmental education and collective action in protecting our planet.
